Cope with Internet addiction?

My ds is addicted to the internet I believe. He is not addicted to posting and blogging or any of that, He is addicted to playing games, you know like left 4 dead, world of warcraft or call of duty games and such. DS is sitting in front of pc screen all day long. Exaggeration, of cause, but still I think it’s not a good thing that he gets on the Internet the minute he gets home and it is interfering with his school work. I’m single mother who has a full time job, so I can’t control him 24 hours a day. Please advice if you have the same problem with your kid and manage to get rid your child from Internet addiction. Thanks!

OMG! When I was reading your post I was thinking that smb. had written my child’s story. I had absolutely the same problem (I also have a little online game addict at my house). I’ve read a lot and tested many parental controls, but only parental control called Ez Internet Timer is the only possible way that I know of to stop my child from going on of the internet. It’s very user friendly, so it will take only 5 minutes to become an experienced user. I can easily add/remove time on any particular day with just a couple clicks. My kid hates this software, but there is a piece in our home now). If you’are interested check out the site here: http://www.internettimer.net (not internettimer.com) Good luck!
