Bloggers: What Do You Write About?
Bloggers blog about anything from politics to religion to your hobbies and anything else imaginable. But, if you are going to be successful with monetizing your blog, you have to focus your topic on one niche. By doing this, it attracts a particular category of readers to come to your blog for all their information and enjoyment needs. It also helps you to know who you are talking to and where to promote your blog.
After you know your niche and you have your affiliates selected, you need to start writing. In this article, I am going to give you some ideas on what you should be writing about to grab your readers interest and keep them coming back for more.
The first thing you need to remember is to bring value to your blog. Write about things that you know your audience will want to read about and learn from. Make your blog a “one-stop-shop” for your readers.
You also need to do your research and be factual if you are giving statistics or specific information about another company or product. Furthermore, if you plan to quote someone, always give credit to whomever deserves it. This will also help you set the stage for building trust from your readers.
Now, on to what to write about:
Stories: Telling stories are always a great way to include your reader. By you telling true stories and displaying your feelings and emotions, your audience get their emotional side out on the surface and it causes them to be a part of your story. Giving them an instant understanding of what it’s like to be you.
Lessons learned: Everyone has to start from the beginning. As you learn and grow, don’t forget that your audience may be just starting. Therefore, don’t forget about the basics. Leave out the technical jargon and start from the beginning as if you were just learning it for the first time. Then, write about what you learn as you go along and learn with your readers.
Reviews: Write constructive reviews on Companies, Products and Services within your niche. Be honest, but only give the facts that you can back up with your research. You want to give your readers enough information to make a well informed decision.
How To’s: Anything you have personal experience with doing or using, that will benefit your audience, write about it. Put it in simple terms and usestep by step instructions so the reader can follow your instructions and complete the task.
FAQ’s: Many times, an article can be produced simply from a question someone asks you or from a general conversation. Therefore, always listen for opportunities and use them to your advantage.
Inspiration and Motivation: No matter who your audience is, we all need inspiration and motivation occasionally. Have you read a great motivating book lately? Or had to remind yourself of why you do what you do? If so, write about it.
Comments: As your Blog gets a larger readership, you are sure to get comments on your articles. Listen to what the readers are saying, because ultimately they are telling you what they want to know more about.
The more you write, the easier it will become. But always remember these key elements when writing: Give your readers value, build their trust and be unique. Now, let’s Conquer the Internet!
